Break Deduction Calculator

Start with a work span, then list each break — a quick 10, a half-hour lunch. The calculator subtracts them all and shows net paid time in hours:minutes and payroll decimals, so multi-break days don't need mental arithmetic.

How to use it

  1. 1.Enter the shift start and end times.
  2. 2.Add each break's length in minutes.
  3. 3.Read the net paid time with all breaks removed.

Questions people ask

Can I add more than one break?
Yes — add as many as the day had. Each row is deducted from the gross span and the running net updates as you type.
What if breaks exceed the shift?
The result floors at zero and the tool flags that the breaks are longer than the span, which usually means a typo in the times.
